Hawk Workshop Epoxy Flooring System Replacement


Scope
Repair and replace deteriorated epoxy flooring (1,650 m²), restore wall skirting (550 linear meters), and fill expansion joints to ensure durability and operational safety
Deliverables
- New epoxy flooring (1,650 m²) with Sika-certified slip/chemical resistance.
- Reinstalled marble skirting (550 linear meters).
- Sealed expansion joints and restored drainage systems.
- Technical documentation, including material submittals and test reports.
Scope of Work
1. Epoxy Flooring Replacement
Surface Preparation:
- Clear the area of obstacles and remove damaged epoxy flooring.
- Mechanically clean and degrease the substrate (using PROKEM Kerndegreaser WB).
- Ensure substrate meets Sika standards: compressive strength ≥25 N/mm², moisture content <4%, and temperature >10°C.
Application:
- Primer: Apply Sikafloor®-161 epoxy primer (0.35–0.55 kg/m²).
- Self-Leveling Coat: Apply Sikafloor®-263 SL epoxy (1.5–3.0 mm thickness, 1.9 kg/m² mix with quartz sand).
- Curing: Allow 24–72 hours based on ambient conditions.
Joint Filling:
- Fill expansion joints with Sikaflex®-1A sealant and backer rod.
2. Wall Skirting Restoration
- Remove damaged skirting and prepare walls.
- Install 550 linear meters of Triesta marble skirting (Sinai Pearl Grey, polished/honed finish).
3. Drainage & Finishing
- Clean and repaint drainage channels.
- Conduct final inspections and compliance tests.
